At nearly 1000m (3500ft) above the surface, the flow of old waterways becomes apparent. The flow of salt creates a river of brine that has dried, passing an island frozen on the crust of the lake. The relatively laminar flow bursting into a beautiful bouquet of turbulence where it once met the water. The patterns frozen in time.
