On the road to Argentina over the Andes and passed the Bolivian border, the challenge for you and your vehicle is noticeable. The reduction in oxygen at this altitude becomes noticeable in a steep reduction in power to climb in your vehicle, and the fatigue sets in just stepping out. You’ll be lucky to see 40km’s an hour going up hill, not for lack of trying, but considering the regular appearance of a wrecked vehicle or truck on your route, that’s probably not a bad thing. Still, when the altitude doesn’t take your breath away, the scenery does.
